for The Hartford 		Sarasota, FL Water intrusion into a beachfront home. Witness deconstruction of precast roof terrace pavers, ballustrades and waterproofing membrane. Rendered a report citing precast setting pins that had penetrated the waterproofing at the ballustrades.

Amerisure Insurance Daytona Beach, FL Structural and other secondary damage to a private residence allegedly caused by the construction activities of a beachfront hi-rise condominium next door. The two structures were separated only by a beach access ramp.
  St. Cloud, FL Determined the source/cause of excess indoor air moisture that was creating IAQ problems, specifically the growth of mold on building elements (exposed trusses, ceiling drywall, etc.), in the vaulted ceiling area of a veterinary clinic.
  Naples, FL Failure of submerged artistic pool tile due to it's de-bonding and release from the waterproofing membrane applied to the concrete pool shell underneath. Multiple failure areas had occurred throughout the pool by the time we were retained.
  Bonita Springs, FL Possible product failure and liability of watertight floor penetration devices for the vertical CPVC plumbing pipes throughout a 454 room coastal resort. Several floor-to-floor leak failures had occurred before we were retained.
  Cape Canaveral, FL Potential for failure of watertight floor penetration devices for vertical CPVC condenser water piping throughout a 204 room coastal resort. Several floor-to-floor leak failures had occurred where the same devices were used in the plumbing risers.

Alvarez, Sambol, Winthrop & Madson, P.A. for Amerisure Insurance Amelia Island, FL Failure of adhesion of balcony floor tile to the underlying waterproofing and also the release of the waterproofing itself from the concrete balcony slabs on 60+ high end units spread throughout 3 mid-rise oceanside buildings.
  Orlando, FL Investigated the location of an alleged slip-and-fall suit at a gasoline station on behalf of the Defendant, the operator of the facility. Researched codes and standards regarding concrete control and expansion joint widths along with height changes across the joints.
  Ocala, FL Research, reporting and expert testimony into the cause and validity of an employee workers compensation claim case brought almost eight (8) years after the injury was allegedly caused by a third party subcontractor.

Alvarez, Sambol, Winthrop & Madson, P.A. for The Midlands Companies Gainesville, FL Termite damaged single family home in defense of the treatment company by conducting a post-destructive investigation performed by others. Evaluated altrnatives for remediation. Prepared a cost estimate for the most efficient method of reconstruction.

Alvarez, Sambol, Winthrop & Madson, P.A. Sarasota, FL Determined source and remedial solutions for leaking rooftop terrace spas into the finished AC space of the Day Spa below. The failures were so bad that the spas had been abandoned by the time we were retained.
  Ocoee, FL Termite damaged Condominum structure in defense of the treatment company by studying existing conditions. Evaluated altrnatives for remediation. Gathered information for repair work but did not produce an estimate.
  Cocoa Beach, FL Termite damaged Condominum structure in defense of the treatment company by studying existing conditions. Evaluated altrnatives for remediation. Prepared a cost estimate for the most efficient method of reconstruction.
  Altamonte Springs, FL Severe water intrusion and structural damage to a low rise (2-story) multiple buildng apartment complex. Witnessed the deconstruction of several porches and sections of exterior walls. Presented verbal evaluations of findings after each visit.

Witnessed the deconstruction of several porches and sections of exterior walls. Presented verbal evaluations and a final expert witness report.

dba Panera Bread 		Altamonte Springs, FL Assisted the Central Florida franchisee for Panera Bread with jurisdictional project approvals for a new free-standing casual dining restaurant. Monitored the Pre-Construction Schedule, consulted with the City Staff, coordinated the activities of the Architect, Civil Engineer and Surveyor in obtaining St. John's Water Management District and Final City Site Plan approvals, and attended Development Review Committee hearings with the City.

for Apopka Airport 		Apopka, FL Consulted with Doa Engineering, City of Apopka and the Apopka Airport on a design/build airplane subdivision project involving hangar construction, site work, concrete work, etc.

 Winter Park, FL Provided envelope inspections and damage assessments on multiple buildings located on the Full Sail University Campus after Hurricane Charley hit Central Florida in late 2004.

Palm Harbor Homes Eustis, FL Reviewed protocol of 3rd-party deconstuction and remediation of mold damge to a manufactured home. Supervised the taking of indoor air quality samples. Wrote a final report on remediation, testing and the test results.
